Every artist you speak to, will tell you that they always made art as long as they can remember and will be happy to show you their early work when they were like four.

It wasn’t until I got to college that I really found out that I had an affinity for art and drawing. As a youngster my mother was good at getting my brother and me dabbling in crafts and things, like pottery, but I, myself as a youngster never really just sat down and drew with a pencil and never painted from a blank, white canvas.
My high school years were really just a blur of apathy and pot smoke. Besides, I had two serious hobbies that kept me from any other interests: self-loathing and masturbation.
It’s funny, that just now, I came to the realization how perfect all those high school years were in preparing me to be an artist.
